Position: Civil Estimator
Location: Houston, TX

Key Responsibilities
Project Estimation:
Develop precise cost estimates for civil construction projects related to renewable energy developments.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare comprehensive and competitive bids.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather essential information for accurate estimations.
Cost Analysis:
Conducting in-depth cost analysis, considering material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Evaluating potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects and incorporating contingencies into estimates.
Staying informed about market trends, pricing, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Bid Preparation:
Preparing and submitting well-organized and professional bid packages according to project requirements and deadlines.
Collaborating with the business development team to review bid strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
Vendor and Subcontractor Relations:
Sourcing and negotiating with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to enhance the company's competitiveness.
Proposal Development:
Develop compelling proposals highlighting Sendero Energy Services' strengths and capabilities.
Ensure that proposals align with project specifications and requirements.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry, focusing on renewable energy projects.
Strong understanding of civil construction processes, including earthwork, drainage, and utilities.
Proficiency in estimating software, including HeavyBid, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
