Celebrating Achievements, Empowering Employees, and Building a Sustainble Future
From major project milestones to industry accolades, Sendero Energy Services is making waves as a leading energy services civil contractor in the renewable energy and infrastructure space. At the 2024 State of Sendero Town Hall, employees and leadership came together to reflect on the company’s achievements and outline an ambitious vision for the future.
Founded in November 2022, Sendero Energy Services specializes in civil construction for energy infrastructure, focusing on renewable energy projects like solar installations and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Guided by its mission to build with integrity, innovation, and sustainability, Sendero is rapidly emerging as a trusted partner for energy companies and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms across the U.S.
Safety at the Core of Our Success
The Town Hall kicked off with a powerful reminder of Sendero’s commitment to safety, led by Safety Director Beth Alessi. Sendero’s impressive safety performance—including an exceptionally low Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.55—reflects its culture of accountability and proactive risk management.
Beth highlighted several new initiatives, such as a mandatory safety orientation and reinforced the importance of the company’s Stop Work Authority. “If it’s not safe, don’t do it,” she stated, empowering all employees to prioritize safety above all else.
Defining and Building Our Legacy
Executive Director Julio Gaviria reflected on Sendero’s rapid growth and its clear vision for the future. In just two years, Sendero has become a go-to contractor in the renewable energy sector, achieving key milestones, including:
70 full-time employees and a new headquarters to support growing operations.
Prequalification with over 35 leading energy companies and EPC firms.
Five completed renewable energy projects and a robust pipeline of ongoing and future work.
Looking ahead, Sendero aims to expand its footprint across the U.S., build deeper client relationships, and achieve $250 million in revenue by 2026. With renewable energy adoption accelerating, Sendero is poised to leverage its expertise and grow its impact in the industry.
Projects Powering Progress
Director of Construction Todd Thurman shared exciting updates on Sendero’s completed, ongoing, and prospective projects. Highlights included major accomplishments such as:

Sendero’s ability to deliver high-quality results has positioned the company as a reliable partner in energy infrastructure. Todd also introduced the “Knock it Out of the Park” program, a new initiative incentivizing teams to exceed project goals in terms of timeline, budget, and profitability.
Operational and Financial Highlights
